Obituary of Miriam Wangari David
Miriam Wangari David was born in Kenya and she is one in a family of six. It was there, where she met and married David Ngando. Soon after, they had four children: Irine, Michael, Jimmie, and Maureen.
Miriam and her youngest daughter Maureen journeyed to the United States in 2008, making it their home. Sadly, Maureen preceded her mother in death, but Miriam was resilient! Her unwavering and profound hope and faith in Jesus Christ was one of the main reasons for her resiliency.
Beloved by all who knew her, she was generous, determined, loving and provided comfort, and compassion to others. She frequently prayed for her children and they drew much comfort and solace from the prayers she prayed over them. Another way she demonstrated love for people was by feeding them, which included the people that were less fortunate.
She enjoyed traveling, reading her bible, and worshipping God in song. At one point, she was part of a church choir at Emmanuel Anglican Church. Eventually, she found her way to the Church of Amazing Grace International, making it her home church.
On January 30, 2023, she was promoted to eternal glory, and now her faith is her sight.
She is survived by her husband David;
Her children:Irine Mugure Gathua of Nairobi, Michael Magua Gathua of Anaheim California, Jimmie Kariuki Gathua of Woodbridge Virginia; Her Siblings: The late Ishmail lthongo Kariuki, Isaac Gicheru Kariuki of German Town, Maryland, William Njoroge Kariuki of Nairobi, Catherine Nduta Franzke of Cologne Germany and David Kamau Kariuki of Nairobi, Kenya: Grandchildren: Franzke Gathua, Ashley Wangari, Allison Wairimu, Miles Gathua, Jeremy Gathua, Michelle Njamaiu
