Q: What will you never forget about Miriam?
A: I Miriam was such a happy, positive energetic person. I remember her coming over to my sisters house with Mama Shiro ( Pastor Kiraiku's wife) in 2019 to condole us when we had a prayer gathering before we were scheduled to travel to Kenya for my father's burial.
These two ladies were so amazing in encouraging & uplifting us. Miriam told us that the particular grief we are feeling is unique to you as the individual. It's just like how you cannot compare how you love someone, because you're the only one who is feeling that particular way in your heart. She encouraged us to take grief a day at a time because there is a season for everything, even death. She said God will walk with us each step of the way & one day you will wake up and realize the sun is shining & you have loved ones around you & many many other reasons to live because life is a gift.
She said it's OK to cry, or not to understand why some things happen the way they do. Sge added that life is a journey with good times & bad or sad times. And at the end of it all we have to strive to all go to heaven because nobody ... no matter how rich or poor ... nobody lives forever. Even David & all the powerful prophets rested. It's a reality nobody likes to face but when it comes, we should take heart.
There's so much more that was said.... and I love the way we were loved & encouraged that day ❤️
