Obituary of Shontell Lea Denise Whitfield
Born and raised in Orange County, spending majority of her life in South Orange County, Shontell Lea Denise Whitfield was the loving granddaughter of Thelma Hewins, daughter of Dianne Whitfield, sister of Jasmin Carmody, and aunt of London Carmody. She was also a very caring and loving friend to many. After graduating from Trabuco Hills High School, Shontell went on to pursue one of her passions, photography, and not long after embarked on a successful 12-year career with Ricoh. Other hobbies of hers included graphic arts, Comic Con, and technology in general. She was a Jane-Of-All-Trades who could set up, put together, and fix most everything she came into contact with, as she was very intelligent. She was kind, compassionate, friendly and sweet to all who crossed her path. On Tuesday, December 18, 2018, Shontell tragically passed away from bilateral pulmonary thromboemboli due to compression by intramural leiomyoma. She is gone far too soon, but will never be forgotten. Her beautiful light and spirit will live on in all of those she loved, and who loved her. Shontell spent 36 amazing years on this earth, and pictures and memories of her beautiful smile will continue to comfort everyone whose lives she touched for many years to come; however, she will be sorely missed. Shontell is survived by her sister Jasmin and nephew London.
