As the last of four children in my family, I find it difficult to say goodbye to my sister Joann. Even though we have been geographicallly separated for over 50 years, I have all good memories of this sensitive, caring woman. Growing up, there were never typical sibling confrontations with Joann. She always stayed calm and understanding. Joann was always fiercely supportive of her children, a loving, involved parent. Her children will miss her unifying force. Few of us can leave this earth without someone issuing negative reflections on us or our character. No such reflections could apply to this gentle, loving woman. God's speed, Joann, we will all miss you!

So many great memories. a very important person in my life and will be missed terribly. Its so hard to believe that people living so far apart and with numbered visits could be so close but it has been that way since I was a child. So glad your suffering was short and you are together with Uncle Frank and my Mom and Dad. Always remembering you with much love.

The most loving woman, next to my mom. My aunt Joanie was kind, caring, very giving. She was so much fun to shop with. I have a lifetime of memories that are all good. I will miss my aunt so much, knowing she is with her sister and brother and the great Uncle Frank and finally at peace is a comfort. I certainly hope her and my mom are enjoying a coffee and a harlequin romance novel!!!
