He fought the good fight

I met Lin in Orange County Jail, were I sought my Lord for the first time. Lin had a Bible study / sermon ministry there with the incarcerated men, of which I was one.

I remember Lin telling me, about how one man was very smart, but he was not very wise. It was almost as if he were speaking to me, it sure touched me where I was.

After I served my sentence, I looked Lin up. On the phone, he offered to meet me at a Denny's restaurant. Basically, he took it upon himself to disciple me in my new found faith.

We would meet a few more times, and eventually I began attending services at Nutwood St. Baptist Church, in Garden Grove, CA.

He continued to be my friend and mentor, gave me a lot of books, some I still have, from the 1970's. later, in 1985, Lin was my best man.

I am confident that Lin was able to hear: "'Well done, good and faithful servant. You were faithful with a few things, I will put you in charge of many things; enter into the joy of your master."

Lin was one of the sweetest, gentlest men God put on this earth. He was a blessing to all who knew him, and a faithful servant to our Lord. It was an honor and a privilege to know him and be blessed by his teaching.
