Obituary of Emogene P. Montgomery

July 11, 1920 - May 19, 2011, was born in Nashville, TN, to Docia Arminta Owens and William Dudley Perry. She lived a very long and fruitful life raising 5 children. She was dearly loved by all that knew her as she truly 'walked the walk'. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, (Tom S. Montgomery), 3 of her sisters (Clarice Van Hoosier, Christine Baugh and Dorothy Potter) and her son (Bill Woodroof). She is survived by her daughter, (Sandra Primrose) and 3 sons, (Aubrey, Steve and Bob Woodroof). In addition, there are 12 grandchildren, 14 great-children and 1 great-great-grandchild. Emogene was loved and respected by her family and will be greatly missed. We have all been blessed to have her in our lives. She truly made the world a better place. There will be a private graveside ceremony at Melrose Abbey Memorial Park on Friday, June 3. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made to Oak Hill Church of Christ, 1301 Oak Hill St., Escondido, CA 92027.
