Obituary of Rebecca Leigh Green

Rebecca Green, vibrant and beautiful at age 18, was taken tragically from this world on Friday morning, June 22, 2012. Rebecca was involved in an auto accident in the Running Springs area of San Bernardino and was pronounced dead at the scene. Rebecca was born alongside her twin sister, Julia, in Long Beach, CA on November 2, 1993. Her parents, Ralph and Melinda Green, coupled with unfailing, unconditional love provided endless avenues and encouragement for Rebecca's creative and lively way of life. Rebecca grew up in the Lakewood area where she attended McArthur Elementary School and Bancroft Middle School. Early on you could find Rebecca cheerleading and playing softball or taking art classes at the Lakewood Community Center. Her high school years found her at Alpine Academy in Utah where she gained new perspectives and fresh ideas in some of Utah's most grand country settings. Rebecca's constant and continual curiosity connected her most recently to an interest in astronomy. An artist's imaginitive eye and an insatiable social appetite, Rebecca was a most affectionate child. She was quick to extend a hug and a smile that could brighten dark days, stretch for seasons and last for miles. Rebecca is survived by her parents, Ralph and Melinda Green; her brother, Michael David Green; her sisters, Julia Leigh Green and Hannah Noel Green; and a tightly knit collage of grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Visitiation will be held on Friday, June 29, 2012 from 3pm to 9pm in the Melrose Abbey Chapel, 2303 S. Manchester Ave., Anaheim, CA 92802. A Celebraton of Rebecca's life will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2012 at 11 am at Cottonwood Church, 3311 Sausalito St., Los Alamitos CA 90720. Rebecca will be remembered, missed and loved fondly forever. Services entrusted to Melrose Abbey Mortuary.
