Obituary of Leung King Fan

Leung King Fan, wife of the late Fook Jip Lowe and long time resident of Riverside, CA, passed away October 12, 2010. Born in 1912 in rural Canton, China, Leung King was raised on a family farm before moving to the United States in 1961. She and her husband owned and operated Super Value Market in Rubidoux, CA. She then worked alongside her daughter and son-in-law at Kam's Drive-In Restaurant before retiring. In retirement, she enjoyed maintaining a large fruit and vegetable garden and also enjoyed watching game shows, roller derby, and "professional" wrestling. She is survived by 3 children: daughter Chiu Fong (Moon Kong) of Hong Kong; daughter Chiu Mow (Kam) of Riverside, CA; and son Frank Lowe (Lynn) of Modesto, CA. She is also survived by her son-in-law, Joe Gong of Modesto, CA, 17 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years in 1988 and her daughter, Rosie Gong of Modesto, CA in 2008. For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. John 3:16-17 Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?" John 11:25-26 Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2010 from 10am-12pm in the Abbey Chapel. Funeral services will be from 12pm-1pm with interment to immediately follow at Melrose Abbey Memorial Park. There will be a lunch reception following interment. Services entrusted to Melrose Abbey Mortuary.
