Sharon was born in Toledo, Ohio. She attended Clay High School in Oregon, Ohio, and graduated in 1960.
Shari, as her friends called her, was an avid singer and studied opera and music in various colleges and universities.
She and her husband Bert also enjoyed dancing, especially polka. Her parents, Maggie & Harry owned a pizza parlor called Blinky’s in Westminster, CA in the 1970’s & 80’s, where polka music was heard every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Bert & Shari were always there to welcome the crowds who all became friends with them and each other. They also spent a lot of time at the Phoenix Club (German) in Anaheim, CA where they enjoyed dancing, socializing, and Shari would sing a song or two with various musicians and bands that played there.
We thank the staff at Saving Grace Care (assisted living), Angel Care Hospice, and Golden Gate Hospice for their wonderful care.
Hopefully Bert met Shari as she passed into the great polka dance in the sky and they are dancing the polka together once again.
