I was the 4 year old sitting on the backseat of the Monaro with uncle Harbans and my aunty Asha right after their wedding in 1977. Uncle was always kind and good to me, advising and supporting all the time. He was just an amazing dad to my cousins Kash, Jash and Ashley. I will miss those wonderful moments when uncle would share amazing stories from the time when he was growing up. Rest in peace.

Dear Fufa,
Hearing that you and fua were coming to Fiji was the most exciting memory of our childhood. We would wait for what seemed like months and months, asking mummy, pa and Amma everyday "Kab ayi Fua Fufa??" barely able to contain our excitement.
I remember the early morning flight and waiting in our school uniforms to meet you and fua. As children we were mostly happy about the millions of presents you brought for us, as adults we understood your kindness, generosity and immense love for us ♡
You will be so dearly missed and all our prayers are with Fua, Ashley, Vicky Bhaiya & Kavi Bhaiya. Thank you for filling our childhood with so much happiness.
Lots of Love,
Shaani & Prithvi

We used to work closely together and also played badminton as well. He was fun loving. Once at home he tried using chopsticks and was determined to succeed. And he did. He had a Morris Minor N50 which I bought off him to make trips to Suva from Nadi Airport. RIP Harbans. Condolences to the family. Norman

Harbans, brother you have been a real motivator and an awesome example of living and sharing life with people around you. You had earned respect from everyone, friends and families and even those whom you just knew by name. Being with you at the Senior Singlemen quarters and later your neighbor at CAAF quarters in New Town Fiji, you and your family got so close to heart and we felt the absence of your jokes, grog bilos and other fun and games we shared. I managed to fetch your contact in CA , USA and we spoke on phone but unfortunately couldn’t meet in person even though we promised each other to look for an earliest opportunity- Life was too short brother and you have left us so early. Our Deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the family and our prayers are with everyone to have a stronger heart to bear the pain of this irrecoverable loss. Brother Harbans may your respected and luv filled soul RIP

Harbans Bhaiji Saasrikaal, Assalaam
We met as work colleagues in 1965 at Nadi Airport Telegraph/Teleprinter Workshop. I was your and Nizam's junior. You taught and guided me in Technical Skills and living skills at the SSQ including how to cook some Punjabi dishes like Halwa and Maleeda.
Then the days as teammates playing Soccer for Nadi Airport - U were a very able half-back.
I remember the joy, laughter, jokes of being friends.
Thank you for making me a Family friend when U invited me to your Family home in Nawaicomba as a fellow Punjabi.
May the Universe Bless you for the Love and companionship you gave me.
Khuda Haffiz yaara.

Our heartfelt condolences on your sad loss. Harbans and I came from same province. I worked with Harbans till 1982 when my family moved to Australia. He was my neighbour for a number of years at Nadi AirPort. He was a very loyal friend and was always ready to help. At work we worked very closely. His dedication to work has to be recognised. He had a very open attitude to life and we used to spend time together in Nadi AirPort club. He will be very much missed. May his soul rest in peace at the Lotus feet of our Lord. I have lost a great friend.
