Obituary of Vinh T Pham
Our beloved father/grandfather, Vinh Pham, passed away in Fountain Valley on June 4th, 2023.
Vinh was born in Vietnam on May 20, 1926, and at a very young age in a war-torn country, he endured various hardships and challenges. So, in search of a better future, he made the difficult decision to leave his family and ended up joining the military. That difficult decision resulted in a military career, and more importantly, meeting the love of his life (Nguyen Thi Anh Tuyet). They spent almost 75 years together and had nine children.
He was a true patriot, loyal, and dedicated to all his fellow soldiers which is why many of the men in his unit admired and loved him. In dedication to the country, he spent a great deal of his life serving in the military.
A caring father and grandfather, that gave us love, and taught us wisdom, compassion, kindness, and integrity. After serving his country in the military, he devoted the last three decades of his life to his family, including his wife, children, and grandchildren. He unofficially became a doctor for his wife, because on a daily basis, he would ensure that they both took their medicines, checked their sugar level, and measured their blood pressure etc.
Though, he dedicated everything to his family, he never forgot about his fellow soldiers. Every Thanksgiving as we gathered, he reminded us to appreciate what we have, and especially to remember fallen and wounded warriors.
We cherish the beautiful memories of our father/grandfather. He will be forever remembered in our hearts. Even though, our hearts are broken; we take solace in knowing that he is now at peace and watching over us from above.
Goodbye Daddy/Granddaddy.
