Obituary of Argelia Maria Narvaez
Argelia was born on December 10 th ,1959 in Matanzas,
Cuba to Georgina Cruz and Manolo Diaz. In 1965, when
she was just seven years old, she and her mother Georgina
made their brave journey to the United States. They first
settled in Denver, Colorado, but when they visited
Anaheim, California, they couldn’t help but fall in love
with the city’s atmosphere. It reminded them of the warmth
they once felt in Cuba. So, they immediately packed up
their lives and established a sunny future in California.
In her early twenties, Argelia began working at La Palma
Royal, where she met a shy and quiet man named Miguel.
He frequently complimented her outfits, earrings, hair, and
any small changes she made to her appearance. He noticed
everything about her, and as they got to know each other,
she fell in love with his sweet and gentle demeanor. They
married in 1984, built a lovely life together, and eventually
added two vivacious children to the mix, Miguel Angel and
Jeannette Mercedes.
Beloved by all who knew her, she was a devoted wife,
mother, sister, and friend. She was hardworking,
empathetic, fun, loving, and friendly. She enjoyed dancing
salsa on every occasion, frequenting Disneyland with her
favorite people, and most of all, spending time at her happy
place: the Brea Mall.
Argelia is survived by her loving family and countless
friends, all of whom will miss her immensely.
