In Loving Memory of Huyen Huu Ho

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Huyen Huu Ho. She was a woman who radiated joy, beauty, compassion, kindness, and generosity. She exuded remarkable strength. She is survived by her four daughters, Tiffany, Kimberly, Karina, and Jennifer, her sons-in-law, Ryan, David, and Angel, her granddaughter, June Iris, and two fur grandbabies, Frankie and Luna. Our family is heartbroken that she is no longer here with us, but we will carry on her legacy through love, respect, and kindness.

Huyen was born on June 17, 1962, in Saigon, Vietnam where she grew up as the youngest daughter of seven siblings. She attended school in Vietnam and became a teacher. She was an educator at heart and loved helping others. She enjoyed teaching young children, and now two of her daughters follow in her footsteps and are teachers as well. She immigrated to America at the age of 25 and one of her proudest accomplishments besides her children was becoming a U.S citizen. She was hard-working, supportive, and made sure her children knew anything is possible.

She was like the sunshine. Everywhere she went, every person she encountered instantly gravitated toward her positive spirit and warm personality. She was always smiling and giggling; it was contagious. Everyone that she met felt welcome and most importantly, seen.

Huyen was a dedicated mother and loved her daughters with all her heart. They were her pride and joy, and she made sure everyone knew that. When asked what was her greatest wish, she would always say it is for her children to be healthy and for them to receive many blessings. As long as they were healthy, safe, and happy, she was happy.

She was a devoted Buddhist, who valued love, wisdom, and goodness. She’s an amazing cook and foodie. She enjoyed singing karaoke, playing Rummikub, Super Mario, and kicking butt in Candy Crush. Her hobbies included gardening, watching movies with her kids, collecting dolls and plushies, and laughing; A LOT. She was always a big jokester and a kid at heart.

A funeral service is scheduled for 8 am on Friday, December 30th at Melrose Abbey Memorial Park & Mortuary in Anaheim, California. In honor of our mother, we welcome your prayers and condolences at this very difficult time, however, our family will not be accepting memorial cash donations or funeral wreaths. We hope that family and friends can join us in a celebration of our mother’s life.
