Obituary of Maria P. Gutierrez

Maria Piedad passed away peacefully on September 14, 2022 in Orange Ca. She was born in Durango Mexico to parents Rodrigo and Consuelo. She came to the United States at the ripe age of 15. A few years later she met and married Jesus Gutierrez, and had 8 children. Diana, Gus, Alice, Jesse, Joe, Fernando, Raquel, and Maria/Lupe.

She later took great joy in spending time with her grandkids, learning the word of God, worshipping God, going to church, shopping (finding great deals at Marshalls) and indulging in her favorite dessert. (flan) She is survived by 5 of her children, 17 grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren. She is remembered by her children, and extended family for her generosity, passion, faithfulness, strength, love for God and family.

One of her favorite bible verses was:

But as for me, it is good to be near God. I have made the Sovereign Lord my refuge; I will tell of all your deeds.
