<p>Helen Ly Leung: Our beloved Mother</p>Helen Ly Leung passed away on 9 February 2013 in the city of Orange, California, at the age of 89. She was born in Canton, China, the oldest of three children. She is survived by her eight children: four sons Nim Chi Leung, Fu Leung, Shawn Leung, Ryan Leung, and four daughters Nui Luong, Steffanie Leung, Kristy Leung, Sharon Leung, and eleven grandchildren. Helen and her husband were happily married for 65 years. Helen Ly Leung was a loving and caring wife, a responsible mother, and a kind grandma. She took excellent care of her children and grandchildren. She taught her children to love each other, to differentiate between right and wrong, to be kind, truthful, and generous. Living in harmony is what she hoped for her children and grandchildren. As a housewife, a stayed home mom, she had taken great care of her children. She supported the family through the dark days during the Vietnam War, to brighter settlement in the United States. She always prepared good food for the family. She lived a very simple life, never stretched beyond her means, but always wanted the best for the family, her children and grandchildren. She never expected or demanded anything back from others. A simple phone call or a short weekend visitation would make her happy and satisfactory. She enjoyed animal, gardening, and cooking for the family. She loved tendering the chicken farm, once raising hundreds of them, caring for the guava, apple, orange, pear, cherimoya, dragon fruit trees. She really enjoyed seeing her children and grandchildren growing up healthy under her loving tender care. Helen Ly Leung really lived her life to the fullest. She treasured every breath she shared with her family. We all are very fortunate to have her as our mother, grandma, and most of all, a best friend. Helen Ly Leung will be dearly missed. May Her Soul Rest in Peace!
