Freindly Brother
We were freinds, not only freinds, more like brothers,Frindly Brother- could share feelings, thoughts, likings in many ways. I still feel he is there, not gone but I miss him. He had the charisma to keep us all to see each other once or twice in a year at least, if not daily. It's not totally gone, at least he left sometthing for which we remember him to continue. Few things to remember and appreciate : He loved the food in Dhaka and missed it when gone back. He sure could anything good and hygenic( not quantitty ) and had the crave for it. He liked Bengali old movies and songs . Whenever I could , I would collect and wait for him to come or send 1or2 if desperate. I enjoyed his appreciations in this regard. He was very concerned with the political situation, though he was not involved in politics nor was in any p.party. It was very interesting to talk about. He missed his freinds and very concerned if any freinds were not doing well here in BD or any part of the world. There are more and more about him that we can share sitting face to face---------of all----- he loved the kachchi biriyani , the big and tradditional fishes of BD and my foli macher kofta that I cooked and the foods famous that he remembered from Hotel Purbani. Let us all pray for him that ,He be at peace and Well wher ever he may be. May the Al-Mighty bless him well.

Golden Heart.

It was in 1961, Mussaddeq along few of us came to St. Gregorys at class three(3) from St Francis Xaviers Convent, at Luxmi Bazaar, Dhaka where boys could go up to class two(2). We maintained contact with lapse in 90s when he was in USA and I was not aware of his location. Later, we got reconnected in early 2000. Whenever we talked, our conversation ranged from reminiscing old school days and everything of interest. Our conversation at times went over hour or more. Last time, we talked was in Mid - March this year and he was busy and our conversation was brief about 15 min.. Many times, I sought his advice especially on Academic matters. Since Mussaddeq majored in Economics, about two years back, when I was in two minds on choosing the school for my younger daughter as Econ and Math was her major, I called him up and then he wanted to know the options we had. Not only he helped me in taking the decision, but also gave me his nephew tel #, who was a graduate student at that school. Every time we talked his first question to me was How is your daughter doing and then tell her to take this class, that class, so on so on... There are so many stories I can recall share and our bonds. He told me he plans to travel to Alaska this summer with one our school friend with whom we lost contact and finally Mussadeq traced him out in 2011. A very sincere friend - pure and with a golden heart. Very humble and polished in manners. Life is mere froth and bubble, but two things in it stand like stone. Kindness in others trouble and the courage of your own. Anonymous. Mussadeq was the type of person the author of the quote believed in. Will miss him very much. May the Almighty grant him a permanent abode in his paradise. Ameen.
