Eleanor ("Ellie") was a good friend to me and my son, Brian, for many, many years. She rented her small house on her farm to me, a single mother with a child, and never raised the rent. She often treated me and my son to things we could not afford. She was my lunch and movie buddy. I took her to her first walk in theatre, she had never been, in her late 70's, and we enjoyed more after that! She loved the movie Chicago. She took no rent from me when I was out of work for many months, and let me pay it back over time. Most landlords would have evicted you immediately! She was kind, honest, hard working, and one of the best people and friends I ever had. I am so saddened to learn of her passing, but I am happy she is now with her beloved Phil, whom she spoke of with love all her days. God rest your soul, Ellie. I will see you soon. Brian and I loved you so much.
